When Tom Proctor's dad dies his world falls apart; his brother joins the army, his mum is threatened with eviction and Tom gets into trouble with the police. Tom's life is turned around however when he's paired up with park ranger Al Thorpe in this enchanting coming-of-age story set in the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

A beautiful story of friendship, family and dealing with a loss (each character deals with it in a different way), shot in a stunning and captivating scenery of Yorkshire Dales. Highly recommended movie.

why watch it ? because its truthful, because its a bit awkward, because its got a great female character in it, because the banks take a slating for being the thieves that they are...beautiful countryside, sad and uplifting at the same time and some miraculous dry-stone walling..an evening well spent.

Film has some charm but let down by wooden acting and rather forced script.
