Too bad you have to pay pennies to watch it now. Too bad the greedy grubbers couldn't value the truth to share it with all. I watched it years ago on tv for free. An excellent record of the convoys. . The conveys saved the war. They supplied the Russians and the Russians defeated the Nazis.

The accents of some the actors is wrong . But the drama the reality ,the truth and the horror of the convoy war against the Germans is there. Watch out for Denholm Elliot , superb actor. Jack Hawkins unkissable.

This has to be one of the finest naval war films ever made. The acting from all is brilliant but Hawkins at Captain Ericsson has to be one of his finest performances. Brings to life the reality of the war the Navy fought on the seas.
