Agree it's is all visually beautiful. Tarzan stars in The Northman. They all speak in breathy tones to disguise their terrible accents, Nicole Kidman style, she infected the crew! The majority of the actors could of been replaced by less well known European based actors, and it would of significantly improved the movie credibility and you would be able to hear them!

I think this is a marmite film. I have seen lots of reviews from people who loved it. I found it predictable and a bit boring. The main protagonist isn't particularly likable and one dimensional. There is some silly mysticism chucked into the mix. That said the cinematography is good, and it makes great use of the landscapes.

Classic story with actual Norse connections. If you think it other modern shows about vikings as accurate you'll probably not like this, but this is one of the most accurate stories we've had for a long time.
