About this movie

In the near future, crime is patrolled by an oppressive mechanized police force. But now, the people are fighting back. When one police droid, Chappie, is stolen and given new programming, he becomes the first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. As powerful, destructive forces start to see Chappie as a danger to mankind and order, they will stop at nothing to maintain the status quo and ensure that Chappie is the last of his kind.

Само за себя говорит начало фильма: первым умирает единственный черный парень в белой команде - бессмыленно, совершенно не нужно для сюжета (в дальнейшем об этом событии вообще никто не вспоминает). Дальше оказывается, что все так и будет: со стереотипными персонажами, совершающими бессмысленные действия. Все повороты сюжета стары как голливуд. И die antwoord посредственно играют, перестала их уважать потому что они снялись в таком глупом фильме.

This movie was high on my wishlist / to see list. From the director of district 9 and Elysium....that should be a good movie. Unfortunately it wasn't anything near those two movies in my opinion. The story line isn't that great and in terms of good scenes, the trailer is sufficient. The action was nice though and not to much as in Transformers for example. Did like the actors, though their accent became annoying after a while. A nice to see movie, but not as great as district 9.

La premisa ya ha sido utilizada en otras peliculas, unas buenas y otras que... mejor no hablar... esta entra en la lista de pas buenas, buen desarrollo por parte de los personajes principales, el argumento no ca ni rapido ni lento, se balancea bien, una buena trama; mi unica queja seria el lenguaje que se usa si no fuera que esta pelicula va dirijida a un publico maduro por cosas obvias como las pandillas, crimen, etc. En fin, una pelicula recomendable para pasar el rato, mas no una de las mejores.
