cringeworthy, cliched, American dross .... what an utter disappointment when Elizabeth was so sharp

What went wrong? Beautiful production values and a solid cast can't save a story which rambles along occupied by two dimensional characters and cliched takes on a complex political situation.

All time favorite. Great acting, great set, great costumes.
