Slow. Characters with no hope. Sci-fi that never thrilled. Audience ends up having no hope. So depressing. HUMANITY? There was hardly even a hint of HUMANITY in this movie. (I even think Carey Mulligan is an amazing actress! -loved her in "Far From the Madding Crowd".) This movie though...was a waste of time and money!!

Felt kinda long, to be honest. In the beginning, I was hooked. Gradually as the film progressed I lost interest. I mainly watched this film since I am working on a project similar to this film. This film is a one-time watch for me but I am glad a film like this was made since the idea of it was extremely interesting.

Please do yourself a favor and read the book either before our after. It is a much different and better story. The movie is great on its own however.
