Bess, a lonely, rebellious, trailer park teen, and her 9 year old friend Waldo, steal a car and make a desperate journey from Kansas to Las Vegas in search of Bess' father, a man she has never known. It isn't long before the troublesome duo catch the attention of Roach (Bill Sage, American Psycho), a career grifter. This unlikely trio of misfits embark on a adventure through the beautiful and dangerous landscapes of America's Midwest, where they encounter an array of lost-souls, deadbeats, and con men, and ultimately learn that family can be found in the oddest of places.
