18-year-old Ryan is a talented musician and transgender, and began his transition from girl to boy 4 years earlier. He is wildly in love with the beautiful and enigmatic 16-year-old Alexis, but her parents' disapproval of Ryan forces her to choose between her family and an unsafe future with the man she loves.

Time and time again we have all seen young love and affection being displayed through woe and triumph. The difference; this story was as real as the characters in it. The love, the sadness, and the disappointment of not being accepted as a conventional lover hit hard in this sad heart felt love story of two star crossed lovers living miles apart. Ryan Cassata truly makes the watcher of this film cry and feel the emotion of a young boy who is deeply in love with a girl that sometimes can't love him back. It reminds all of us that people fear what they don't understand but, in the end Ryan's heart reminds us love is always more powerful than hate. I strongly recommend this movie to anyone who has a heart, and anyone who can appreciate the passion of young love. This film lets us take a step back in time and remember what it was like to love again as if we were teenagers.
