About this movie

Alternate title - 'Going Back'

From the director of "Boys in Company C" and in the tradition of "Platoon" and "Apocalypse Now" comes a hard-fought drama about Echo Company, one of the hardest hit American units of the Vietnam War. Kathleen Martin, a TV journalist, is assigned on location to Vietnam to cover the reunion of Echo Company as they revisit old battlefields. Kathleens documentary gets off to a rocky start when it is revealed that Captain Ramsey (played by Casper Van Dien) was accused of providing wrong bombing coordinates, causing the deaths of his own men. The drama unfolds as we learn what happened that fateful day.

I wish they could've fleshed all the militaristic and personal decicisions covered in this film in much more depth. It left far to many questions open about what really happened. This flick obviously tried to tell us a story of how modern warfare can obscure individual atrocities on both sides. The stories on both sides of the Vietnamese War could've been told with an objective view.
