About this movie

Marvel Studios unleashes the next global phenomenon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Good intentions wreak havoc when Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) unwittingly creates Ultron (James Spader), a terrifying A.I. monster who vows to achieve "world peace" via mass extinction. Now, Iron Man, Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) – alongside Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) – must reassemble to defeat Ultron and save mankind…if they can! This action-packed adventure is a mind-blowing blast!

Now this one I did catch on the big screen and it was great to finally see it again! Admittedly, it's overlong, in need of more humor and has too many straight-couple mushy moments, one of which doesn't quite work (for me), and society already conditions people to want to settle down and have kids nonsense, didn't need a superhero movie pushing that too... BUT: CAPTAIN AMERICA IS STILL THE BESTEST AVENGER ~ WOOHOO!! LOVE those moments that just invite one to CHEER! Like when Cap kicks ass! And Nick Fury shows up on that flying thingie! And Cap kicks ass! Having seen Thor Ragnarok recently, it felt good to have a few things slot into place. And I'll hand it to Ultron, he was lame, but still a way better villain than Apocalypse (I know, 2 different studios, but still, Apoc wasn't remotely scary). It's more like a 3½★ but I'll give it a generous 4. BRING. ON. INFINITY ⚡

For a sequel it serves audiences well. There are a lot of things to Ultron that they missed out on which would have made him a closer cinematic replica to his comic book counterpart, but other than that Ultron served his purpose as a villain. Nice intro to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, preferred this version to DOFP, as this one was given a proper backstory as well as a more accurate one to the comics rather than just a hint to get fans wondering. Vision was awesome. Also preferred Cap in this one.

While the first showed us the first crossover of these characters, Age of Ultron decides to give us more character development for Hawkeye, Hulk and Black Widow, delivers great humour with rare joke misses which is reinforced by Joss Whedon's genius writing which can give emotional moments or be hilarious in the party sequence. The action is great as always and the banter and chemistry between the cast members is something to behold. The villain is great, he's funny while threatening with a motivation you c
