About this movie

The population of a small town in Colorado seems to have been infected by a virus with unknown origin. The flu like symptoms usually consist of lethargy, cold sweats, nausea, discomfort, intense headaches and a slight discolouring to their complexion. Unfortunately this is usually followed by a sudden urge to savagely rip the limbs from any living creature that might stand in their way whilst chewing on their bones, sucking out their brains and chewing on their flesh. An elite, cold bloodied and tenacious military force has been sent in to clean up the mess. But where as some residents are more than willing to spend the rest of their short lives in quarantine a small group of survivors escape and head towards an uncertain demise unaware of the eyeball chomping, gut splurting nightmare that awaits them.

Ratings and reviews

The idea that they did regarding a vegetarian becoming infected was very original. This is a good film that I have seen a few times, and I always watch it anytime it comes on the tv.

Nowhere near the level of the original. Mediocrity in places and quite sterile compared to the original movie but still a decent film to break into the genre, or to hide behind a cushion if new to this kind of movie!

Being a fan of the original and surprisingly enjoyed the Dawn of the Dead remake I had high hopes for this film, disappointed doesn't even begin to cover how much I hated this film. A good quality cast but zero effort in story and direction.
