I have now watched this movie twice with my children. They love the music and the cheeky dancing, I love the message about acceptance even if it seems a little farfetched for a flea to be the size of a human. The American cast they had voice was brilliant and the French cast was equally brilliant. Sean Lennon and the lead actess (sorry her name has slipped me for a moment) were a perfect match in harmony. I highly recommend watching, with or without kids.

So I finally caved and rented A Monster In Paris. Worth the $5. I would have paid more, but didn’t have it on me and I would have bought the HD version if I did. As is, the HD version is well worth the rent if for nothing more than a couple of the songs. Namely, A Monster in Paris, and La Siene. Not to say the other songs were bad. No, in fact, I wanted to see one of the songs at the best quality I could find. I am not naming it because I want you guys to go watch it and figure it out. If you have the money around to rent this movie, I implore you, please do rent it at the very least.

Definitely worth a watch. I'd seen this movie floating around, and was immediately intrigued by it. I eventually saw one of the songs on YouTube, and I fell in love with it so much, I decided to finally watch it. And I was not disappointed. While this movie is nothing ground breaking or anything, It is enjoyable for what it is. The plot is simple, the animation is good, the characters (while not complex) are still likable, and the music goes from just okay to downright beautiful at times. Highly recommended for little kids with even some mild enjoyment for adults.
