Absolutely dreadful, just rewatch the first movie and enjoy yourself, rather than subjecting yourself to 2 seemingly never-ending hours of terrible script, zero cast chemistry, and uninspired CGI that rivals 2012 in itself pretty bland absolute city destruction. Only part of this film that resembles a lifeline is Jeff Goldblum's returning character, Will Smith made the right decision in avoiding this, even if it was taking up a role in Suicide Squad.

Wow,I thought it was NEVER gonna end !! It's one of those films where you keep saying to yourself, I'll just give it a few more minutes,on the off chance that something good will happen,long dragged out,cardboard acting & that woman needs vitamin D or a few sessions in a sunbed or even a bit make-up, instead of the colour of milk her skin is !! Anyway I wouldn't bother wasting money like I did.

WARNING this is not independence day resurgence. I was stupid enough to misread the title despite searching specifically for independence day Google displayed this film. The cover and title are so similar it is easy to do. We abandoned this film as it was so bad what a wasted rental.
