About this movie

In the last moments of World War II, a secret Nazi space program evaded destruction by fleeing to the Dark Side of the Moon. During 70 years of utter secrecy, the Nazis construct a gigantic space fortress with a massive armada of flying saucers. When American astronaut James Washington (Christopher Kirby) puts down his Lunar Lander a bit too close to the secret Nazi base, the Moon Führer (Udo Kier) decides the glorious moment of retaking the Earth has arrived sooner than expected. Two Nazi officers, ruthless Klaus Adler (Götz Otto) and idealistic Renate Richter (Julia Dietze), travel to Earth to prepare the invasion. In the end when the Moon Nazi UFO armada darkens the skies, ready to strike at the unprepared Earth, every man, woman and nation alike, must re-evaluate their priorities. © 2012 Blind Spot Pictures, 27 Film Productions, New Holland Pictures

It's disappointing that a movie that took so long to make, and really succeeded visually, was so terribly undermined by a plot that promises a lot in the beginning, but goes daisy picking for half the movie before getting to what all of us want to see. The subtle jabs at the USA were subtle at first, and amusing for sure, but toward the end that started to become the dominant theme of the movie, and it lost its way. When satire forgets to contain wit, it simply becomes preaching, and unfortunately, that's exactly how this movie turned out in the end. Overall, I was looking forward to this movie immensely, but after watching, I'd have to say, it's not worth the $4 to rent it. Don't bother.

Uh can we say "CORNBALL" here!!! To some the corny, shallow, and stereotypical may be funny, but not to me. Poorly developed characters, bad acting, and very unrealistic action scenes combine to make this the worst movie I'm ashamed to say I even rented for 99 cents. Even the anti-war message at the end isn't enough to redeem this movie.

I don't get the negative reviews. This is a comedy, a parody of other sci-fi master pieces and well done at that. The future Palanesc America is well thought out and portrayed if not scarily possible. Special effects were well done and executed. This movie had a lot of good points and very few bad ones. Sure, it makes fun of America but we set ourselves up. Forget about this being a serious work. It's a comedy. It's funny, well acted and has a lot of spunk. I'd watch it again.
