When Dr. Bruno Hamels 8-year-old daughter goes missing one school day, he enlists the local police to help him search the neighbourhood. It doesnt take long before they find his daughters body in the nearby woods, bound, raped and murdered. The doctor and his wife are devastated, but the police soon state that theyve located the killer. Theyve DNA-matched the semen of a known pervert. Its an open-and-shut case. Wracked with the loss of his only child, Dr. Hamel sets up a torture chamber in an abandoned cabin, and enlists a couple of thugs to help him get the murderer out of police custody. 2009 An Education Distribution Ltd. An unoriginal yet interesting premise, with some gritty hard-hitting scenes of graphic torture, but obvious and forced moral dilemma makes it a little frustrating to watch at times. Not an all-out gruesome horror, yet not a thinking man's movie either. Left me feeling a bit empty.

What an amazing film. So much can be said without words. Gripping, brutal but ultimately heart breaking. This is what I would want to do if anyone hurt my child. I'm sure every parent would feel the same.

If you have seen The Tortured don't bother with this one. It is exactly the same idea. I'm disappointed.
