From ancient Chinese legends comes an exciting tale of myth and magic. Under the ocean is a mystical race of beings. One of these beings, a 16-year-old girl, travels to the human world in the form of a dolphin and forms a connection with a human boy.

Ratings and reviews

While the visuals are stunning and aesthetically pleasing, I found the storyline and some of the characters to be boring and unlikeable. I also found it quite confusing and somewhat distressing with the thematical elements along with the brief violence and peril that the characters endure. Also, at the end of the film, you understand why the film is rated PG-13. Parents, there's a reason this film is rated PG-13 so be warned!

Fantastic film! Very touching and sensitive story. A fantasy about creation that gives a glimpse, sort of light-beams pointing to God. Family friendly.

A highly underrated film, one fo the best I've seen in the last few years with emotive storytelling & beautiful art/animation.
