A successful young professional woman returns to the island of her childhood and is shocked to find her best friend treated as a slave, a plaything and a work horse for the residents. After a series of shocking events and a tragically failed escape there is no option left but brutal and desperate revenge.

She was selfish and cruel even witnessing the murder of her friends daughter not to mention the beatings , slavery and sexual abuse . No wonder the victim girl snapped . The friend didnt seem to give a damn

Dark and brooding. Apathy and depravity come together with violent results. Bedevilled is, at times, uncomfortable to watch, and Ji Sung-won's character may incur your wrath throughout. Then again, it's not meant to be sunshine and daisies.

Absolutely brutal but incredibly well-done.
