I hoped this wouldn't devolve into a cliche rom-com because the dialogue is so much smarter than that, but it more or less does. (Also, in the spirit of saving you from unexpected awkwardness, be warned that the sex scenes are very Rated R... in case you are watching with extended family or in a public place, like on an airplane...).

A serviceable rom-com. The first act is rough. The set-up for the main characters is overshadowed by bad writing and worse editing. The entire movie is pretty badly aced, but the first act especially is very rough. Once the story really gets set into motion though, Allison Brie and Jason Sudeikis really elevate the movie. Their chemistry is excellent and the characters seem to handle things in a more "realistic" way that many other romantic comedies I've seen. There are a handful of sex scenes, and while there is no/very limited nudity, they are graphic. Overall, a decent time waster movie.

Buy far Jason's best movie. I love his character. I love Amanda Peet's character. This had so many twists and turns you simply cannot predict what's going to happen. Will Ferrell directed this movie and this is simply his best. I'm actually shocked this didn't make it to the movie theaters. Warming you'll go down memory lane remembering that loves that you had
