About this movie

When aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games like PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede and Space Invaders as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ’80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler) to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.

Ratings and reviews

Wanted to like it, but a few major plot holes ruined it. 1. Pac-man could eat them anyway before eating a power pill. 2. Q-Bert tells everyone that the aliens don't understand that the video they saw was of games, but the aliens are angry with the humans for "not sticking to the rules of the games". 3. We're told the alien creations are based ONLY on video games they saw in a video from 1982, but Paperboy, Tetris, Arkanoid etc weren't around in 1982.

This movie no longer plays. Its the only film in my 100+ Library that will not play without picture distortion. It used too, but not since the film has been rebranded and re-sold on the 'store'. It gets a '1' , now, for these reasons. Poor Play Google, I am not buying this film again (this is the re-branded version). DONT BUY IT!

I have got the original version in my videos and it is a great fun to watch and enjoy, but for some reason how it will not play and the pixel in the stream film themself break up when i try to play it, which is a shame as it is a great fun movie
