i wish i could have loved this movie but it is not as good as the t.v shows. it is very flawed the story line was hard to follow it is a shame. it could have been so much better but maybe they should have made a mini series with a few long episodes i felt it was rushed and not well done. sorry but not the best i have seen i am happy i only rented this and did not spend $20 at the cinemas i would have been disappointing. was OK not bad but not good either i really wanted to love this movie

Why why why did this stupid family survive the Somme? So much of the aristocracy faded into history dancing a jig to the tune of the Spandau on a French field. What was left the tax office throat punched into history. ...yes as he said , Poo.

Great movie, might not be so good if you haven't watched the tv series before.
