Entering juvenile detention at 17, Grantham is struggling to find his way as a man. Clashing with his fellow inmates, he catches the attention of Rose, a feisty 81-year-old volunteer. When Rose presents Grantham with an outrageous proposal to spring him, Grantham is hesitant at first, but then agrees to join her on a road trip. Along the way, their paths cross with a beautiful drifter named Wallis, and they share an experience that changes them all.
