Horrible. Blatant promotion of homosexuality. I haven't seen it and I just don't want to see it. I'm a Christian. This is an abomination to God and strongly against what I believe. Never watch this movie, people. Steer clear from it. The preview will make you think it is a great movie. No it's not. This is not how it was. Cowboys did not hump each other. Plain, horrible, filthy, and should never have been made into a movie. Stay away from it. It is DISGUSTING, VERY DISGUSTING. Western movies should not have this element. In fact, movies like this should not exist in any genre at all. Someone has to stand up and shout about what's right. That's why I wrote a review about this horrible movie. Did you people hear me, a horrible movie, and a blatant promotion of homosexuality. Should have got an NC-17 rating. Please don't listen to anybody that says this is a good, even a great movie. It plants garbage in your mind by saying that all cowboys are gay. No they r'e not.
Just boring The problem with this movie is that it's based on a short story. Therefore, the plot for this film runs out pretty quickly and yet the film continues to needlessly carry on. The sense "of what's the point?" hovers over every scene once the two main characters leave the mountains after their affair. It's boring and pointless. The movie is not very good but Hollywood loves anything that deals with Jews or gays. It is what it is.
Awful I didn't like it at all. It got boring when they parted. I don't really see the hype for the movie. Way too much violence and boobs. :\ I've seen way better gay films. It also portrays gay couples in an unrealistic way.
I'm confused. Can someone help? Can someone explain to me why some movies expire in 24 hours while others expire within 3 days? It sucks because with two children, a husband and a full-time job I don't have time within a day to watch a movie. And it seems like all the movies I want to rent are those that expires in 24 hours. I think you should make all movies expire within 3 days. Or better yet how about the month I paid for. As for Brokeback Mt. I loved the movie. Although the first sex scene, it seems Jack has taken it before.
Awesome movie! Just because you watch a movie about gay men doesn't make you gay. Whoever judges a person based on that is stupid. If you have something against the LGBT community, why would you watch it in the first place? If you have something bad to say, keep it to yourself. Disrespectful comments shouldn't even be welcomed. This movie was great overall! I give it two thumbs up! Love the acting portrayed and overall lovely movie
What a tremendous movie One of the best movies ever made in my opinion. The bravery of the actors, producers and Ang Lee directing a movie that is mature enough to show that love is the one thing that is most important and if you don't realize that, you will very likely end up regretting it deeply. If all you can see in this cinematic masterpiece is gay cowboys and you cannot feel empathy and sorrow for the characters, regardless of sexual orientation, then I truly feel sorry for you.
Even The Straightest Guys Can Bend... Being a totally straight guy, this movie felt a bit awkward at first.I could not grip on to the idea of what this movie had to represent. But by the middle of this movie,I put my views aside, and started getting into the story.I was amazed by how this movie changed my views. It goes to show you how movies can be powerful.I think that everyone deserves equality,no matter what their preferences are.I'm still a straight guy,but one with more empathy for others!
I feel awful in a good way This movie well embodies that time waits for no one, not even love. It will pass you by, and not even look back. Embrace what you're lucky enough to find before it's lost to time.
Surprised. Two different men, two way of seeing life, then there was the others emotionally involved. I won't spoil the ending. Wish they could of been honest with everyone, some would excluded, but no one should judge.
Some people are just as blind as the wives in this movie look at things in life pay close attention & you'll see that this movie it self shows you awhole different world you couldn't see before right in front of your everyday life.No they aren't saying cowboys are gay but more like secret love lives are real & they're hidden very well & you'll miss the signs if you don't pay attention.
Broke back Mountain I found this movie mesmerizing, compelling, an aphrodisiac(even if I am straight). This was no doubt a love story , beautifully written and portrayed.Heath and Jake were just too much. It is my favorite movie and I do not care what anybody thinks about my opinion . if you want to remain close minded so be it.
Excellent and quite a story! I was thoroughly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. I love how the story is so realistic. These men face so many hardships and I adore what that brings to the story. I only wish it wasn't so sad (then again some of the best films are) and that there were more movies like it.
Beautiful This movie is so heartbreaking but so good! The acting is powerful, the storyline is emotional, the scenery is breathtaking, the music is beautiful. The director did a great job with this film. It seemed like a dramatic love story between two lovers and not two guys getting it on in a tent and I love that.
