Just boring The problem with this movie is that it's based on a short story. Therefore, the plot for this film runs out pretty quickly and yet the film continues to needlessly carry on. The sense "of what's the point?" hovers over every scene once the two main characters leave the mountains after their affair. It's boring and pointless. The movie is not very good but Hollywood loves anything that deals with Jews or gays. It is what it is.
Awful I didn't like it at all. It got boring when they parted. I don't really see the hype for the movie. Way too much violence and boobs. :\ I've seen way better gay films. It also portrays gay couples in an unrealistic way.
I'm confused. Can someone help? Can someone explain to me why some movies expire in 24 hours while others expire within 3 days? It sucks because with two children, a husband and a full-time job I don't have time within a day to watch a movie. And it seems like all the movies I want to rent are those that expires in 24 hours. I think you should make all movies expire within 3 days. Or better yet how about the month I paid for. As for Brokeback Mt. I loved the movie. Although the first sex scene, it seems Jack has taken it before.
Awesome movie! Just because you watch a movie about gay men doesn't make you gay. Whoever judges a person based on that is stupid. If you have something against the LGBT community, why would you watch it in the first place? If you have something bad to say, keep it to yourself. Disrespectful comments shouldn't even be welcomed. This movie was great overall! I give it two thumbs up! Love the acting portrayed and overall lovely movie
What a tremendous movie One of the best movies ever made in my opinion. The bravery of the actors, producers and Ang Lee directing a movie that is mature enough to show that love is the one thing that is most important and if you don't realize that, you will very likely end up regretting it deeply. If all you can see in this cinematic masterpiece is gay cowboys and you cannot feel empathy and sorrow for the characters, regardless of sexual orientation, then I truly feel sorry for you.
Even The Straightest Guys Can Bend... Being a totally straight guy, this movie felt a bit awkward at first.I could not grip on to the idea of what this movie had to represent. But by the middle of this movie,I put my views aside, and started getting into the story.I was amazed by how this movie changed my views. It goes to show you how movies can be powerful.I think that everyone deserves equality,no matter what their preferences are.I'm still a straight guy,but one with more empathy for others!
I feel awful in a good way This movie well embodies that time waits for no one, not even love. It will pass you by, and not even look back. Embrace what you're lucky enough to find before it's lost to time.
Surprised. Two different men, two way of seeing life, then there was the others emotionally involved. I won't spoil the ending. Wish they could of been honest with everyone, some would excluded, but no one should judge.
Broke back Mountain I found this movie mesmerizing, compelling, an aphrodisiac(even if I am straight). This was no doubt a love story , beautifully written and portrayed.Heath and Jake were just too much. It is my favorite movie and I do not care what anybody thinks about my opinion . if you want to remain close minded so be it.
Excellent and quite a story! I was thoroughly surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. I love how the story is so realistic. These men face so many hardships and I adore what that brings to the story. I only wish it wasn't so sad (then again some of the best films are) and that there were more movies like it.
Beautiful This movie is so heartbreaking but so good! The acting is powerful, the storyline is emotional, the scenery is breathtaking, the music is beautiful. The director did a great job with this film. It seemed like a dramatic love story between two lovers and not two guys getting it on in a tent and I love that.
Wonderful. Touching. This movie, at first, was kinda slow. But the pace picked up as the movie continued. The characters were so amazing, perfect acting, heart racing movie. It's not forgettable, it's memorable. Cute, charming, story. The ending, so adorable. The whole story, love it. It's perfect. It's a must watch movie. In my opinion, I'd give it a 4.7/5. It's amazing. I love it!

Having been burned by compromises to censors on his earlier films Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Sweet Bird of Youth, Paul Newman decided to star in as uncompromising a property as he could find. That property was Hud, inspired by a portion of Larry McMurtry's novel, Horseman Pass By. Hud Bannon (Newman) is a young Texas rancher who lives with his cattleman father Homer (Melvyn Douglas) and his hero-worshipping nephew Lon (Brandon DeWilde). Hud is an amoral, cold-hearted creature; his father, who holds Hud responsible for the death of his other son, tries to imbue Lon with a sense of decency and responsibility to others, but Lon is devoted to Hud and isn't inclined to listen. When hoof-and-mouth disease shows up in one of the elder Bannon's cows, Hud is all for selling the herd before the government inspectors find out. But Homer orders the cattle destroyed (the film's most harrowing sequence), driving an even deeper wedge between himself and Hud. Finally, Hud steps over the line by attempting to rape Alma (Patricia Neal), the earthy but warm-hearted housekeeper. Paul Newman was so repellantly brilliant as an unregenerate heel that his Oscar nomination for Hud was a foregone conclusion. Although Newman lost the Oscar to Sidney Poitier in Lilies of the Field, Oscars did go to Neal for Best Actress, Douglas for Best Supporting Actor, and cinematographer James Wong Howe.
