I've seen cheap 80's porn with higher production values than this. Looks like a film school project? Story made no sense, editing was sloppy, and the acting was physically painful to watch. Seriously, like... high school drama club bad. Avoid.

OH MY GOLLY GOSH GOD!!! If you're looking for flashy Hollywood production and all, you're going to be really disappointed. But if you accept the production as it is -- an independent, low-budget flick -- and you follow the story !!! Just FRIGGIN' WOW!! A brilliant low-budget movie. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, just knowing that in the next minute or so something is going to happen. And it never happens. And it keeps on never happening until finally it friggin HAPPENS and shocks the bloody batspit out of you. This isn't great movie making. This isn't great acting. This isn't great special effects. This is brilliant writing. This is brilliant making the most of what is available. This is brilliant independent film-making. This is brilliant storytelling around the campfire out in the woods on a late October camp out film-making. And I love it. I was hanging on to every second of the movie right up until the point where they set it up for The Creepy Doll 2 sequel and the credits started rolling.

This was not a typical doll horror. It developed the characters and then placed them in peril, it built suspense and had a really disquieting effect. The story is clear and well told. The acting and direction contribute to the overall effect making this an enjoyable film if fear and enjoyment can share a place in the same sentence!
