This is a terrible film overall, but the sheer boyhood joy of experiencing the over-the-top Greek fairy tale again and again make it too fun. Saturday night TV was where this movie came on all the time; crazy that it lives on with today's technology. The effects still amaze, even over twenty years later, and are worth the cheese factor.

I remember lovin this movie as a 7 year old back in 1981, and I still love watchin it today! Gotta love when the Kraken is swimmin around by the gate and that dude swimmin down there unlocking the gate!! And Medusa that turns you to stone If you look into her eyes! The whole mythology thing is pretty neat, fake, but neat; and they play it out perfectly! Great movie!

When I saw movie I liked cast and special effects some prudes couldn't handle the nudity but rather watch a head explode go figure
