It's based on a true story (not really). It's the first animated movie set in 19th-century Nova Scotia (yeah, right). When the kids of the strange town of South Park, Colorado, won't stop imitating the two foul-mouthed Canadian stars of an R-rated film, their parents prod the U.S. government into declaring war on Canada! Meanwhile, Satan--portrayed here as the gay lover of Saddam Hussein--schemes to use the resulting chaos to gain world domination. Exuberantly and gleefully crude, this irreverent animated musical comedy based on the hit television show caustically lampoons virtually everything.
