It's 1992, and Eastern Europe is a frontier of promise as well as danger. AnAmerican, Dr. NICHOLAS PINTER, arrives in Sofia, Bulgaria to attend aneconomic summit. He's soon plunged into a dangerous game of cat and mousewhen a gangster, SERIK DOULOVA, mis-identifies Nick as an agent who hasshadowed him across Europe, John Charter. Serik's "associates," two corruptBulgarian detectives, frame Nick for the murder of his friend. Without a passportand unable to leave the country, Nick is soon cornered and without options. AnEnglishman, STERLING, appears out of nowhere. "Are you John Charter?"Bewildered, Nick nods, and Sterling whisks him to safety.

Val Kilmer erscheint hier als sehr schöner Dressman. Der Film bekommt von mir nur 4 Sterne, weil mir der Cast der Filmpartnerin Isabella Miko nicht gefällt. Neben ihm wirkt sie zu dürr und trägt die falsche Mode.
