I felt a part of my soul die today while watching this. Gratuitous violence is not art and never will be. Shame on you, Tarantino, for creating such a spectacle of hate. This film sickened me and my spirit.

This movie is dripping with Tarantino's sharply contrasted dark humour, blood and violence but the real magic is in the fantastic writing and performance. Every scene of it is absolutely captivating.

Tarantino't take on slavery and revenge is turning out to be a new classic. Excellent acting, notably by Jamie Foxx who plays the title character and ever better character actor Christoph Waltz who won this year's Oscar for best supporting actor for his role in this movie, playing bounty hunter. Dialogue is sharp as ever as it is expected from Tarantino standards, who won an Oscar for best original screenplay, along with music selection. One of the best movies of 2012 for a reason
