Based on the local legends and stories of people who've visited the real-life abandoned hospital, GONJIAM: HAUNTED ASYLUM follows the crew of a horror web show who plan to stream live from inside the asylum. To attract more viewers, the show's host arranges some scares for the team, but as they move further into the nightmarish old building, they begin to encounter much more than expected.

Nail bitingly scary. Had me frozen in a scare like it should. This found footage flick delievers great creepy buildup, with a simply terrifying climax. So creepy. And then boom, it just really scares. It may be scarier then Grave Encounters and I see Grave Encounters as the scariest film ever along with Circle, if so this tops Grave Encounters, even though yes that one is seriously scary like this one. Gonjiam is a well built film and a true scare rattler.

Okay, so honestly I thought this movie was going to be lame. But to my surprise it was an awesome movie. I found it amazing how they didn't really do anything until the end od the movie, which was a good thing. I even let my siblings watch it, and now they're scared of the dark hallway we have. I usually don't think American scary movies scare me anymore because of the repetitive plots. So even though this movie was simple, it was hands down, one of the best scary movies I've seen.

The characters in this movie are even more annoying than the guys on the Travel Channel. You should really only watch this if you want to see so-so Korean actors having constant hysterics over literally nothing happening.
