Great evocation of our distant past under Roman tyranny but how strange that we always root for the Romans instead of our own ancestors - the Brits.

I say this film is just OK beacuse the ending is quite sad and there is a lot of violent events in this film

My favourite film. Tense, interesting and a true story, most of it anyway!
