An entertaining film, but too much mutants and aliens. More Godzilla (and friends) would have been better. It's a nice treat to see Akira Takarada, Kumi Mizuno and some other classic Godzilla alumni getting screen time. The rest of the cast is adequate at best. The King Of The Monsters deserved better for his 50th birthday bash. Best line in English dub: (old man to grandson) "Milla? Eh, whatever".

Godzilla 1998 was and still is, and always will be, better than the other Godzilla movies that toho doesn't know how to make with animatronic robots in their monsters! Why add Godzilla 1998 in here? Add your own goddamn monster that you stole from us like King Kong or Frankenstein! STOP STEALING *OUR* MONSTERS YOU GODDAMN INHUMANE MONSTERS!!!!

its stupid, the charecters are bland but they do their job, and do it enjoyably and X is a godsend, hes extremly fun to watch. The monster fights are fun and creative, and just campy enough to get a laugh when they need to. Its not meant to a deep compelling film, its meant to be stupid fun and achives that goal almost perfectly, although the Minilla subplot is out of nowhere and kind of boring, but its short so its not to bad.
