About this movie

This thrilling animated sequel to Justice League: War dives deep into the fascinating origins of one of the Justice League's most enigmatic heroes: Aquaman. Young Arthur Curry has no idea that he is heir to the throne of the kingdom of Atlantis. Right now, he's a lost and confused outsider just trying to cope with the death of his human father. When he learns of his true aquatic heritage, Arthur has some tough choices to make. But he doesn't have long to find his path in life: the Atlanteans are about to escalate a war with the surface world -- and only by joining with the mighty Justice League can Arthur help avert global disaster and finally embrace his destiny as Aquaman.

I'm not the biggest fan of Aquaman in the DC universe, never really saw the point of him, but having said that I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. There is some very mild bad language, and the violence is quite graphic, I especially liked the scene where we see Mira use her powers for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised to find this is a movie which seems to be geared more towards adult DC fans rather than kids. It is something I would like to see more DC animated features try. I think it works very well. I have no reservations about recommending this movie to anyone, even if your not the biggest Aquaman fan there is plenty to like here. I do agree with chris carter' comments about google amending their pricing structure, especially when it comes to comparatively short animated films.

Love the adult content of these DC movies.. and Throne Of Atlantis is as good as others I've watched... laughs, action and a bit of gore... awesome! Only wish they were a bit longer.. I think google should revise their pricing structure to reflect a film running little more than an hour.
