While this film was poorly reviewed professionally, I found it an intriguing look at the frustrating struggle to publish the truth over the deafending self-serving political spin of the W. Bush Administration's all-out pursuit of a pretext in invade Iraq. It is a bit like All the President's Men and The Post at its most downbeat about the power of the press as one news organization strubbornly adhering to finding the truth when their competitors would rather tote the official line for easy news. For that, this film serves that much of a good purpose to dramatize the event of one of the Fourth Estates' greatest failures at informing the public of a major policy, with one major American exception.
