About this movie

From DreamWorks Animation comes a surprising tale about growing up, finding the courage to face the unknown...and how nothing can ever train you to let go. What began as an unlikely friendship between an adolescent Viking and a fearsome Night Fury dragon has become an epic trilogy spanning their lives. When the sudden appearance of a female Light Fury coincides with the darkest threat their village has ever faced, Hiccup and Toothless must journey to a hidden world thought only to exist in myth. In this last chapter, Hiccup and Toothless will finally discover their true destinies, and dragon and rider will fight together to protect everything they’ve grown to treasure.

The story and themes are incredibly inconsistent to the messages displayed in the previous two movies and TV shows, and a lot of the characters are just bland, particularly the light fury. This whole message of teaching kids that hoes always come before bros like it's some bleak manifest destiny is just very annoying to me, considering I always loved the relationship between hiccup and toothless and how they were like brothers. The score and animation was beautiful though.

I loved this film. I have read a couple of reviews on here and they're talking about how this ends the trilogy. This is true, but this has been done deliberately, finishing off the store in such an endearing way. The film contains all the components that made me fall in love with the first film: the humour, the characters, the story and undeniably the visuals. If you have seen the first two films then this review isn't for you as you will watch this anyway, and if you haven't seen the first two, then watch them first. you won't be disappointed. This is a great film for anyone of any age.

My favorite trilogy of movies! The quality of the movies get better and better and the plot for this movie is ingenious. It focuses on the bond between a life long friend and partner and a first love. The ending is heart-warming and beautiful! Everyone's favorite dragon Toothless on another adventure, defeating a rather clever manic villain with his buddy, Hiccup. Would recommend to all the family, and the other two movies. #HTTYD4life
