Wow...just horrible. Let's star with pros (only one) 1. HD looks great Con's 1. The most Sad, depressing story line I have ever seen. 2. Gross, I was dumfounded by the trick that required KILLING a lovely little bird, also some people that have died by tricks, and a suicide. (Details of deaths shown) 3. Almost no humor found! I need humor! Never watch!!!!!!! Unless you are a person who loves violence and a dark storyline.

So let me first say if you've read the book don't expect the same thing. This movie is very good but very different from the book it is loosely based on. Jackman is excellent as an obsessive magician. Bale is fantastic in his cocky unlikeable antihero role.

Lessons can be learned from the rivalry between Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, from the characters I believe. If you enjoy the style of Christopher Nolan, this movie will be nothing but a thrill from the beginning to end. I think this such an intelligently written and acted movie. :-)
