Julia Roberts makes a pact with her best friend and former boyfriend Dermot Mulroney that if they aren't married in ten years' time, they will marry each other. Years later, Michael is about to marry someone else. She's asked to be the maid of honor and agrees with a plan to break up the couple.

Love watching Julia Roberts films but this one is a bit strange - it isn't a romcom and it isn't a drama - slips somewhere between the two. The story is overall a bit naff. In pretty woman Julia Roberts gets to drive the Lotus - in this it is a bread van - sic gloria transit !

The story is great and great acting but Julia Roberts potty mouth ruins it for me. Why can't they leave the bad language out?
