About this movie

A true love story filmed over four-years, across 32 countries by one man on a bicycle. Tom is all set for a 9--5 career in IT -- but at 23 he can't help wondering whether there's more to life. So he decided to leave behind everything he knew and set off on the ultimate adventure: cycling around the world without maps or guidebooks. Despite his lack of experience (in both long-distance cycling and filmmaking) Tom cycles and camps across three continents and captures every aspect of his road-trip, encountering a vivid cast of friends and foes. But eight months into his ride and alone in the mountains during a bitter Caucasian winter, he meets Tenny -- a feisty Iranian-Armenian who would change the course of his journey and then his life. Struggling to keep his dream alive, Tom convinces Tenny to get on a bicycle and join him. But when things don't go to plan, he is forced to continue riding alone. His decisions lead him to the depths of the Sahara desert, where -- amid challenges unimaginable -- he catches a glimpse of the answer he set out to find. Janapar -- named after the Armenian word for journey -- is an honest and life-affirming story. Combining stunning photography, skillful editing and an evocative soundtrack, it captures the spirit of a true adventurer who discovers what he's looking for when he least expected it.

Absolutely wonderful! A journey of the human experience. If we could all follow our dreams and passions. Who knows what we may find out about ourselves and our other fellow human beings. I hope love and adventure is alive and well for your future.

The desire and yearning to go find yourself is what makes us the pioneers of our own destiny and lives.
