George Clooney, (as Rick Bingham) is uber suave and sexy, and at his best here, in this romantic tragi-comedy with wings. He's adorable, uncatchable, and oh so do-able in this fine flick. There's plenty of heart-tugging side stories to humanize the inhumanity of Rick's job as a cleaner for corporate cutbacks. He meets his female counter part in a sexy Vera Farmiga, (as Alex), who's also 'Up in The Air' as a fellow traveller in the skies. But the real scene stealer in this show is Anna Kendrick, (in one of her first big films), who tags along as a trainee to replace Rick, in a job that's being phased out by the future, and the corporate IT department. Irony is everywhere when Rick achieves his lifetime goal of joining the 'million-mile high' club smack in the middle of his own existential angst. It's very relatable for all of us on a corporate drone-track, who need to consider what's up in our own air, and how we want to play it. This film is a classic, maybe a little too mature for under 13's, but teens and adults alike will agree this flick has a lot to give - and its more than a cross-country trip!

When it come to lifestyle, I guess I'm similar to Ryan Bingham. I love traveling...for business: I love conventions...I hate "vacations" that most people like. It has been very rare that I purchased furniture for any apartments I have rented...I love living in hotels and motels. Maybe it's because when I was young I was moved often, and having been a "military brat" as well as a "dependent" to a wife in the military.

The minute I started watching this film, I thought wow, this is close to home for me. I travel a lot for work. I tend to live out of my suitcase. This film does a great job of capturing what that is like. I don't however travel around handing out pink slips. I train people on software. Still a ton of time in hotels and airports like in this movie. If anyone wants to know what life is like on the road, watch this film.
