关于此电影

Sick of his dead end, white bread, corporate career and disgusted with the empty consumer culture of his generation, a confused young man serendipitously meets Tyler Durden. Together they create a new club where young men come to relieve their frustrations by beating each other to a pulp. Two rules govern the club: no more than two men per fight and no one is to mention fight club to any outsiders. Reverse-psychology proves it's power, as the latter rule instantaneously spreads the news of fight club throughout the underworld sub-culture. Tyler Durden, the ringleader, quickly becomes a cult hero of epic proportions, a new messiah for a dead generation. Meanwhile, Jack manages to get involved in a twisted love triangle with Tyler and a girl named Marla, who is also at odds with reality.

Let me make this clear, this IS NOT a movie about fighting. It's a very mature (and disturbing) look on how our society has been engulfed in consumerism and has lost sight of things that really matter. The acting from Edward Norton and Brad Pitt is exceptional. The plot makes twists and turns and keeps you complelty invested the whole way though. Ultimately, and unfortunately, the movie falls apart it the last act and it nearly ruins the entire experience.

About half way through this movie it seemed like it was getting truly ridiculous and I almost aborted. About three quarters, I started to get it. By the end, I was sold. Weird, for sure. Extra weird. Bizarre? Yup. Got that one covered too. It's a nightmarish hallucination with a heart beat. I really don't have the words to convey what I felt watching this movie. I thought Helena Bonham Carter put out the best performance. She was great. I knew a woman just like her when I was 18. Total psycho. Would I watch it again? Probably not. Do I regret the 2+ hours I spent on it, no. It was worth it. Just perhaps a little too bizarre for my taste.

This movie is stupid and it has no meaning. What is the deal with the violence, sex, and making human waste soap? Terrible role for Brad Pitt to do.
