About this movie

A dreamlike exploration of an inexplicable, overwhelming passion, JUST A SIGH is set in motion when a broke actress (Emmanuelle Devos) who's between stage performances in Calais takes a quick jaunt to Paris for an audition. On the train, she meets an attractive, mysterious Irish stranger (Gabriel Byrne). Intrigued, she follows him into the metropolis and soon finds herself facing the possibility of an entirely new life.

I’m deeply in love with Gabriel Byrne. I’m in love with his beautiful deep blue eyes, his sweetness. His acting in this movie is a masterpiece. The amount of meaning he can convey without uttering a word is insane. Just by looking at you. Just a sigh is a beautiful piece, so well acted. It’s a movie about finding True Love totally unexpectedly and what you do once you’ve found it. I don’t like the ending, but again it’s an open one. So in my mind I’ve come up with an ending of my own, the only one way I can figure this pair ending up. I thank the cinematographic industry for making such intimate and realistic, vivid stories like this one. It’s actually something that could happen although it rarely does. If you’re a romantic, a believer in magic encounters, if you’re seeking that special one who hasn’t arrived yet, if you enjoy Gabriel Byrne’s intimate way of acting, unpretentious, yet gorgeous, then Just a Sigh is an absolute must see for you ♥️

Comme des hommes anciens élèves en vraies valeurs. Leurs vies ont fait de l'amour-propre passé et rien plus de l'inexécutable erectus d'âge. Quel ennuyeux pour nous.

A wonderful, warm movie. The aftertaste is bitter sweet. Watched it third time today. It makes me smile.
