Ratings and reviews

This movie did NOT paint a clear picture of what actually goes on in Police Academies. It focused heavily on the Physical aspect of the academy but not anything about learning the Laws, Department Policy, Etc. It was strictly physical stuff. Not very informative, Quite disappointed.

I really enjoyed this movie. I was curious to see how our law enforcement trains and gained a lot of insight into the paramilitary training. Definitely worth a watch!

Where most major motion picture films are lacking, 'The Academy' shines! You won't see any A-list actors or multimillion dollar stunts, but there is a robust amount of art and elegance in the way this film was directed. Highly recommended for film aficionados looking for a change from the normal and mundane. 5 stars!
