Academy Award winner Robert Duvall and Oscar nominee Thomas Haden Church star as a pair of horse herders - Print and Tom - who find themselves the reluctant guardians of five abused and abandoned Chinese girls while traversing the 1890s Wild West. Determined to get a herd of horses to Wyoming in order to collect a hefty wage, the two ranchers set out across the country but soon discover a cutthroat criminal is holding five women hostage - human cargo to be sold into prostitution. After rescuing the women, Print and Tom must escort the women to safety and protect them from the pursuing pack of bandits determined to sell them into captivity in this emotionally riveting action drama. 2006 SLR Productions, Inc. This is one of the best westerns I’ve had the pleasure to watch in a very long time, well, since the days of John Wayne, that is. Robert Duvall is superb, as always in westerns and Thomas Haden Church is great also. My husband got me hooked on westerns, mainly watching John Wayne. This is one movie I will watch again and again, even by myself. Now finding out that it is based on a true story just makes it that much better. It is long but as previously mentioned, you never even realize how long.

At this point anything you watch with Robert Duvall in the saddle is going to be a gem. I had just watched the Lonesome Dove series and was in the mood for more Robert Duvall Westerns and this did not disappoint at all. My wife who isn't into westerns watched the entire movie with me. Warning, it's very long, it goes by and you never look at the clock, but by time it ended our clock said 2am. 5 Stars..

Subtitles are there and not even on the same speed as the characters voices. Can't turn off, love the movie, but subs are disappointing
