Very Excellent movie 4.5 (no spoilers) Pros (1) Wrapping up a long series of movies could've gone wrong here had they failed to make this good. Fortunately they DID make it good. Very good. Awesome that they made it all the way to this final movie with all of the main actors still showing up to complete the job. (2) The plot of this one was a tricky one to put on film without all the knit-picker type of critics tearing it apart and calling it bad for one reason or an other. It is impressive that they succeeded making such a complexity with so few holes, and one that explains all the complexities quite well while watching it, so that it is easy to follow. (3) The outcomes for the characters are mostly satisfying. Well done there. (4) Wow the visuals. (5) The comedy sewn within is perfectly timed amidst the dramas and tragedies. (6) Unpredictable surprises and twists. There was one predictable eventuality that I recall expecting to potentially be inevitable to happen. They did such a good job at entertaining me and leading my thoughts down other paths though with all the different characters and stories to think of...that when that thing I predicted happened...I didn't see it coming and was surprised and delighted because of that. (7) You get a lot of "Bang for your buck" with this one considering there are 3 whole hours of good time here. A lot of movies I buy leave me feeling like I should've waited until they were on sale or just rented them. Not with this one. Paid twenty for the uhd digital copy. That comes out to 11 cents per minute. They put a whole lot more than 11 cents into each minute of this film (1.98 MILLION $ per minute estimated from gross budget). (8) ..............Paragraph.......................... Cons: (1) Not much of a message or moral to the story. For entertainment it is great. However when a movie not only entertains me, but also leaves me feeling like I learned some valuable wisdom or knowledge from it, it becomes even more valuable to me. Ie movies like Fight Club, Inside Out, Sherry Baby, Forest Gump, Cool Hand Luke, and Bladerunner 2049. (2) Not as incredibly fast paced. Not quite as comedic as Thor Ragnarok. I think they had an appropriate balance though. (3) A few scenes can seem a bit slow moving and even unnecessary. Although I felt it was mostly done great...I do see how some people I know with very low patience and attention span could get bored at times. I was never bored though even though I have some attention difficulties of my own. (4) When the main characters have super powers...it is hard to relate to them. (5) A lack of realism exists in any super hero movie obviously. Though I don't think that has to be the case. I will note this as a negative about it anyways as I do hope for some insanely realistic super hero movies in the years to come. Like Rainn Wilson's Super. For example in Captain America First Avenger; Cap evades a bazillion bullets when he is not supposed to be bulletproof. Basic little things like that. One would be a fool to let such things ruin their enjoyment of these movies, but I can not help but hold out hope that future super movies will try for even more realism.

Not as great as Infinity War. It has a lot of cool tribute moments to the past movies and some great action sequences, but that's about it. The movie drags itself out for way too long that I found myself pretty bored with 70% of it. Some jokes get dragged out way too long, and it's the same sarcastic "marvel" jokes. I'll admit I did get teary eyed that some characters won't return, but it didn't have as big of an emotional impact on me compared to Infinity war's dusting away ending.

It's good and considering the pressure that's put on an end to a series of movies we are lucky to get what we got. It wasn't the perfection of the original but it was better than the ones that followed so enjoy and ignore what follows. I am in no way a canon, follow the bible or else sort of person. My complaints were ones of editing. Several times they built up some great tension only to let it poof as they moved on to the next hero. And that's the problem. It was just too much at the end. Too many egoes to pay tribute too, too many helmet/maskless actors needing their spotlight and way, way too many avengers especially when you consider that the movie comes down to 3 on thanos. That was well done. Almost perfection. They lost that high lofty ideal they reached because they needed to have everyone join the fray (including Potts..sort of rediculous). They missed the mark but the final resolution was almost perfect. For most people, especially children it will be a fun romp and decent closure to the series.
