I put this on for my 18 month old granddaughter and it did a fair job of holding her attention. She loved the music and returned her attention to it regularly while playing. I liked it a lot; though not for the same reasons as her. While it may not possess the kind of luster and allure the public has come to expect from say Disney or Pixar films, it was nonetheless entertaining. More importantly, it didn't revel in the kind of self-centered faux heroism and pursuit of material-based success that are the driving motivation for the majority of main characters in many animated films produced today. This film may not have been quite as adept at compelling storytelling, but it held its own...and did it while showcasing characteristics of selfless heroism...like loyalty, friendship, mercy, unity, growth, and altruism. The character values, rather than production values, are the reason I bought this film.

My kids and I forgot this show as soon as it was over. It was just a mind numbing bore for me, and kept them only slightly entertained.
