It's hard to know what to say about The Big Lebowski that hasn't already been said. Ever since its release, critics have raved about it, film historians have pulled it apart, movie buffs have quoted every line, and all for very good reason. The Big Lebowski may not be for everyone - that all depends on whether you really "get" it - but those who can get behind it will soon find themselves transfixed, following a non-tale for the ages led by a non-hero for the people. So sit back, grab your white Russian, and always remember: the Dude abides.

Originally when I watched this film as a 14 year old (twice) I absolutely hated it and saw no joy in it. I must say though, years down the line I think it's just a movie you have to mature into (surprisingly, considering how goofy the entire premise is). I praise this highest for its characters and drug trip scenes.
