About this movie

Planning to retire and begin a new life, Mr. X (Daniel Craig, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider), a successful West End drug dealer, has been asked for one last favor: to negotiate the sale of one million hits of Ecstasy. Unfortunately for Mr. X, the pills were stolen from a Serbian drug lord who'll cut off his head if he sells them. And with a London crime czar (Michael Gambon, Open Range & The Insider)promising to retire him permanently if he doesn't, Mr. X may be rightfully concerned about his future. Nothing worth losing his head over. (c) 2004 Columbia Pictures Industries , Inc. All Rights Reserved.

When I was 23 I would prob thought brill, but at middle-age i've become jaded. Seen it all before bla bla. Couldn't follow plot, couldn't be bothered to finish watching...managed about an hour.

First forget the Guy Ritchie connection, he had nothing to do with this film. Starring Daniel Craig as XXXX before he was made famous as Bond. It's a bit sweary but if you can get beyond that it really is a very good film. Top performances from Colm Meaney and Michael Gambon with Sally Hawkins playing a total nutter. Well worth a look

Brilliant movie. Shame Daniel Craig wasn't able to play Bond like this but then I suppose that would push the age category up. One of the best movies I've ever seen.
