About this movie

In this modern love story set against the Austin, Texas music scene, two entangled couples – struggling songwriters Faye (Rooney Mara) and BV (Ryan Gosling), and music mogul Cook (Michael Fassbender) and the waitress whom he ensnares (Natalie Portman) – chase success through a rock ‘n’ roll landscape of seduction and betrayal.

Absolutely beautiful. Malick writes poetry in film. Don't expect a conventional, linear film. Malick is interested in the inner dialogue, contemplation, moments of grace. If you understand his language of allusion and symbol then you will find in this film a profound and stunning meditation on love, freedom, truth and - above all - mercy.
