I think all of it's points go to the creativity and the amount of time and effort that went into making this. It's actually pretty amazing. However it loses points for having a very weak story, and maybe a bit too psychedelic and dream-like. This is less of a movie than it is a critique on society through grotesque imagery. If that's what you're looking for, you will be satisfied, but if you're looking for an adventure with a protagonist you care about, you won't find that here.

I had the personal pleasure to catch this at an independent movie theatre! This film took THIRTY YEARS to make. Phil Tippett is quite literally a "Mad God" at his craft. This film is definitely not for the faint of heart, so be warned, it is a very very dark journey to watch all of this (HAH). Please, treat yourself to this magnum opus of stop-motion cinema!
