About this movie

The Park Bench is a comedy romance about Emily, a neurotic librarian-to-be, assigned to tutor Mateo, a struggling Latino undergrad in American Lit. They meet three times a week on a park bench and at first they do not get along. But over time, the books they read cause them to open up and reveal their deepest secrets to each other. Soon these two opposites learn they have more in common than they ever could have imagined, and it may change their lives forever. Utilizing a colorful and whimsical blend of animation with live action, The Park Bench stars Walter Perez (The Avengers, Friday Night Lights) and Nicole Hayden (Mad Men, Grey's Anatomy) in a story about stories, epic adventures, ghostly tales, mythic legends, and ultimately a love story.

A lovely indie film! Thought provoking and enlightening. It shows different cultures and their stories. It feels very real. Both actors are fun to watch because they're expressive and they play off each other very well. If you want something different I recommend this film. Plus the animation is fantastic. A really nice mix with the live action. I truly enjoyed it.

What a lovely movie! I love the two actors (Walter Perez and Nicole Hayden) and the way they relate to each other - they have such great chemistry. It feels very real. The gentle tone of the film actually feels as if it's really happening over time and feels authentic. Plus I really enjoyed the animation. Very charming and fun.
