I believe this is the only Hammer Frankenstein entry that doesn't star Peter Cushing in the title role? This film stars Ralph Bates as the mad doctor. Bates was a secondary player in the Hammer roaster and it's great to see him shine in a starring role. Co-stars two of the most gorgeous slices of Hammer Glamour ever- Kate Mara & Veronica Carlson. The dark gallows humor, the absurdity of the Frankenstein story is really played out well in this series. Hammer studios did Frankenstein the best imo👍

Glad this movie is finally available to own, primarily I’m a Star Wars fan. What has this movie got to do with Star Wars? You are probably asking. It features david prowse a.k.a. Darth Vader. In here he plays the Frankenstein monster. David prowse played Darth Vader in the first three Star Wars movies except for the ending of Return of the Jedi where sabastian Shaw played the unmasked version of Darth Vader. If you are curious to see what david prowse would have looked like as the unmasked Darth vader, check this movie out. The make up would have looked similar to the make up in horror of Frankenstein. This movie is definitely worth the watch. 👍
