About this movie

When aspiring horror filmmakers begin searching for real life monsters to interview for their upcoming documentary, they find three individuals claiming to be a skin-walker, a vampire and a demon. Meeting at a remote mansion on the night of a lunar eclipse, the subjects are invited to share their terrifying and haunting experiences. The interviews quickly turn deadly and as blood is shed and screams fill the deserted woods, the filmmakers are left battling demons, inside and out. Shot in terrifying found-footage style, and starring Toby Hemingway (Black Swan) and Justin Bruening (Grey's Anatomy), The Monster Project is a horror that will get your heart racing and palms sweating.

The plot and trailer drew me into watching the film. It sounded good and it does have some atmosphere and suspense, especially building up to when the people they are interviewing change. But when the screaming starts, it did go a little over the top for my liking. Its quite good how the second half of the film switched to night vision mode, but with all the chaos, it was hard to see at times what was going on. It follows the all familiar route with the Blair Witch about lost footage found, and overall, I thought it was okay. But felt Id seen this kind of thing before.

Not a bad movie, worth watching to decide yourself.
